Sometime back in 2009, we decided it was time to start the long trek of building our own online manual; a comprehensive knowledge base for everything Decipher. What started as a handful of how-to articles has grown into an encyclopedia of over 600 documents, detailing every facet of working with our software and staff. Did you know?? Builder, the survey building application of Beacon, has a little known feature that very well may save you a great amount of time and improve the flow of your survey. The new feature easily allows piping of answer options throughout your survey. Imagine, you have a set of 10 department stores that your respondent can choose from; you want to know which of these stores they ever frequent. Now, It can be as easy as yes or no, or can be more complicated such as any store they visit more than once per month (combining multiple points). Read more »

Support is defined as “A thing that bears the weight of something or keeps it upright”. Quite frankly, without the support of something one will come crashing down. As a member of the Onshore team, we value the role we play at Decipher by serving as the glue that keeps the structure up. Whether it be a late night QA, working a weekend shift to get the job done, or coming in at 5am for the morning shift, we strive to stay consistent in our quality and timeliness with our projects. Last year we made the move to launch the Decipher Helpdesk. This new link shows in the upper right of Portal and other applications within Beacon. We made the move more recently to push questions asked in the Knowledge base to be directed through the Helpdesk as well. For those that haven’t seen or used this new feature, I wanted to quickly address some reasons why and why not to use this new support option and the potential benefits.
