At Decipher, giving back to our community has always been an integral part of our company culture and mission. This month, we are launching our Facebook “like” campaign – we will donate $1 for every new like (up to $1,000) in the month of May to Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity is currently working in the South, helping to create a plan to rebuild after the deadly tornados and storms last month. Our May “like” campaign will help raise money to help the victims of this disaster. Read more »

Decipher is 11 years old today. Most people don't remember the old pencil and paper surveys of our youth. I remember spending months to get 1,000 interviews, begging venders to fax me their term and tally sheets, and spending days combining through data looking for punch errors.

Last year we conducted over 3000 surveys in 55 languages among 23 million people and sent 210 million emails. This year we are on track to do that plus 40% in addition to launching Beacon and generating $1 million plus in software revenue.

Last year, I predicted the continued evolution of DIY MR tools would change the industry catch phrase from "outsourcing" to "insourcing." We saw a significant jump in use of these tool sets by marketers in 2010. Use will only increase in 2011 as DIY survey platforms add functionality and improve usability. With 100% of Fortune 500 firms adopting DIY survey platforms to augment their research practice, agencies and full service firms won't be far behind. The ability to program multi-mode studies (especially mobile) in a one-stop environment (survey/sampling/reporting) will be paramount. Read more »
