Our dial testing survey services have officially expanded with our upcoming beta release (April 2009) of our dial reporting tool, Video Analyzer. Dial testing (for those of you not familiar with this product), provides real time responses to test media by asking respondents to provide moment by moment feedback via an online "dial".

The Video Analyzer dial reporting suite gives dial testing clients the ability to view survey results (as any combination of questions or survey variables) as an overlay as the test media plays. Users have the ability to define their own segments or attributes (any question or combination of questions that was asked in the survey) to run against the video. For each slice of the data, a view only reporting link can also be saved and sent internally or to clients.

We've included a screen shot of this new tool to give you an idea of the functionality along with the look and feel of the reporting. In the image below, you see the main anatomy of the reporting interface (Play List, Video, Left Pane, Graph and Snapshots). In the upper right portion of the screen, there is a play list where the user can choose which video (in the event they were testing more than one) they want to run the reporting on. To the left of this list is a viewing window that displays the video, with the appropriate controls. To the left of the video is our "left pane" which gives the user options that will appear in the graph below the video and play list (these options can be turned on and off). Below the graph area of the screen is the "snap shots" area (which will be profiled in our next newsletter).
